Hike transfers in Schladming-Dachstein

Hauser Kaibling Hikes

Your tour has a stressless and easygoing start thanks to the hike taxi and hike bus. Also, going up by gondola cuts out about 1,000 vertical metres. And after your hike, the taxi collects you in the Gumpental Valley or you can hop on the Schladming-Dachstein hike bus – whatever you choose. Just leave your car in the valley.

Hike taxi to the valley from Gumpental

Simply park your car by the 8-seater gondola or the Tauern gondola base station and save yourself a 1,000 metres vert by riding the gondola up the mountain.

From the top station, walk across the Rossfeldsattel to the Moaralmsee Lake (1,825m). Experienced mountaineers might head to the Höchstein summit (2,543m)

The way down leads to one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lower Tauern, the Gumpental. The Maierlalm and Stanglalm hut owners look forward to your visit. After your break, the hike taxi picks you up and returns you to the Hauser Kaibling base station – 8seater or Tauern gondola, wherever you parked your car.

Taxi departure daily at:

  • 2:15 pm Stanglalm and 2:20 pm Maierlalm
  • 4:30 pm Stanglalm and 4:35 pm Maierlalm
