If you're looking for a short round, the Freienstein Sprittrail is perfect for you! The path leads from the farm (Haas) south into the forest. There already follows the first ascent to the Kulm!

From there you walk along the signposted path (Freienstein). After a few forest passages and a short narrow degree you reach your destination after 5km!

The Freienstein (1279m) is also a popular destination for hikers, because it is very easy to reach and you have a great 360° view!

The descent is on the northwest side and leads down to the adventure park !

From the center of Gröbming the path leads towards Kulm, past the "Baumhoroskopweg" (tree horoscope path) directly to the summit of the Freienstein. The descent is via the Assacher Scharte to the adventure park and back to the starting point

From Graz: A 9 Phyrn Motorway to St. Michael junction - Liezen B 320 to Gröbming

From Linz: A 9 Phyrnautobahn to Liezen (Bosrucktunnel MAUT!! or Phyrnpass) - B 320 to Gröbming

You can park your car at the public parking places in Gröbming towards police station.

ATTENTION: At altitude 1.105m at kilometer 20,4 you are asked to walk the next 800m only, not to run. Because of the grazing cattle! suitable footwear, weatherproof clothing
