Hauser Kaibling Gipfel (2.015 m) – Rundweg

Gehzeit: ca. 2 Std. · Strecke: 4,5 km · Höhendifferenz: 240 hm · Schwierigkeit: mittel

Nach einem halbstündigen Anstieg erreichst du den Gipfel des Hauser Kaibling – zugleich den höchsten Punkt der 4-Berge-Skischaukel Schladming. Ob Gipfelkreuz, Erinnerungsfoto oder der herrliche Blick ins Ennstal – hier lohnt sich eine Rast. Über den Rossfeldsattel führt die Tour weiter zur idyllischen Kaiblingalm, wo das Schutzhaus zur Einkehr mit Dachsteinblick einlädt. Für Kinder gibt es einen Spielplatz und auf dem Rückweg zur Bergstation den spannenden Kinder-Erlebnisweg mit Rätselstationen, neuen Kugelbahnen und abwechslungsreichen Motorik-Stationen.

Hauser Kaibling Gipfel (2.015 m) – Rundweg

Gehzeit: ca. 2 Std. · Strecke: 4,5 km · Höhendifferenz: 240 hm · Schwierigkeit: mittel

Der Schafsinn-Rundweg führt rund um den Hauser Kaibling und bietet zwei Varianten:

  • Die längere Route (ca. 1 h 45 min) richtet sich an trittsichere Wanderer und führt vorbei am Aussichtsbankerl mit Speicherteichblick, hinauf auf 1.950 m und weiter zum Schafsinn-Forschungsgelände bis in die idyllische Kaiblingalm.
  • Die kürzere Route (ca. 40 min) ist ideal für Spaziergänger, Familien und sogar mit dem Kinderwagen begehbar. Entlang dieses Abschnitts verläuft auch der Kinder-Erlebnisweg mit Rätsel- und Spielstationen.

Die Kaiblingalm ladet zur gemütlichen Rast mit regionalen Schmankerln und hausgemachten Säften ein. Das Naturfreunde-Schutzhaus bietet zudem Übernachtungen – perfekt für alle, die den Berg noch länger genießen möchten.

SCHAFsinn-Rundweg

Gehzeit: ca. 2 h 25 min · Strecke: 5,6 km · Schwierigkeit: leicht bis mittel

Der Schafsinn-Rundweg führt rund um den Hauser Kaibling und bietet zwei Varianten:

High trail to the Moaralmsee

Walking time: approx. 3.5 hours. - Distance: 7 km - difference in altitude: 700 m - difficulty: medium (Note: dogs are not allowed from the Rossfeldsattel).

With the Hauser Kaibling 8-seater gondola lift and the Kaiblinggrat 8-seater chairlift or the Tauern cable car, you comfortably cover most of the altitude difference. From the mountain station, you reach Hauser Kaibling's summit at 2,015 m in around 30 minutes - featuring breathtaking panoramic views. Continue via the Rossfeldsattel and the varied trail to the Moaralmsee - a turquoise-green natural gem in the midst of an impressive mountain landscape. An incomparable play of colors can be seen here, especially when the alpine roses are in bloom.

There are several options for the way back:

  • Standard route: Back via the Rossfeldsattel and the Kaiblingalm - perfect for a leisurely stop with a view of the Dachstein.
  • Sporty option: From the lake via the Seescharte (trail no. 45/780) down to the Kaiblingalm.
  • Pleasure variant: Via Almsteig trail no. 781 into the Gumpental valley with a stop at the Stangl Alm. Return journey by hiking taxi (advance booking required).

High trail to the Moaralmsee

Walking time: approx. 3.5 hours. - Distance: 7 km - difference in altitude: 700 m - difficulty: medium (Note: dogs are not allowed from the Rossfeldsattel).

The way back leads via trail no. 780 to the Kaiblingalm, where the Schutzhaus invites you to take a break. You return to the mountain station along the children's adventure trail, which is a particular highlight for families. For an enjoyable finish, stop off at the "d'Genussalm" - with a wonderful sun terrace and views of the Dachstein mountains.

The challenging tour to the Höchstein, the striking summit of the Schladminger Tauern, is a real highlight for experienced mountaineers. The tour starts either via the Kaiblingalm or via the Hauser Kaibling summit (2,015 m). Trail no. 780 takes you to the Seeschartl with a magnificent view of the Moaralmsee. The trail continues through impressive boulder terrain to the Kaiblingloch saddle, before the final uphill leads over steep scree fields and secured passages to the summit ridge and finally to the Höchstein (2,543 m). Once at the top, an overwhelming panorama across the Schladminger Tauern and into the Enns Valley awaits you. The way back is along the same route back to the mountain station.

From the mountain station, the trail leads over the Hauser Kaibling summit and on over the Rossfeldsattel to the Seescharte. The challenging ascent to the Höchstein includes steeper passages with wire ropes and rocky climbing terrain, before you are rewarded at the summit with a magnificent panorama over the Schladminger Tauern.

The hike down is via the Filzscharte through boulder-rich terrain down to the romantic Moaralmsee lake. Embedded in an impressive mountain backdrop, it invites you to take an enjoyable break. Return along the slopes of the Bärfallspitze and over the Rossfeldsattel back to the mountain station.
