At Hauser Kaibling, families will find a wide variety of activities for snow enthusiasts of all ages:

• Wollis Kids Park at the valley station: Spanning approximately 24,000 m², this children’s area offers the perfect practice ground with conveyor belts, a platter lift, and gentle slopes for learning those first turns in a playful way.
• Ski & Snowboard School: Right at the base station is a ski school offering courses for all ages and skill levels—from Bambini groups for children ages 3 and up to advanced kids. The ski instructors ensure rapid progress with plenty of fun and patience.
• XXL Funslope: A highlight for the whole family is the 1,460-meter-long Funslope with waves, steep turns, and small obstacles—ideal for playfully putting what you’ve learned to the test.
• Child-Friendly Amenities: Wide, gentle family runs, cozy huts with kids’ menus, free parking at the valley station, and short distances ensure a relaxed skiing experience.
• Summer Activities: The Hauser Kaibling also has plenty to offer families in the summer—such as the SCHAFsinnTeich with a barefoot trail and play stations, the children’s adventure trail with new marble runs, the petting zoo, and much more.

Yes, the Hauser Kaibling sports shop is located right next to the valley station of the 8-person gondola. Here you'll find everything you need for a day of skiing, snowboarding, or hiking. 

No, ski touring is not permitted at Hauser Kaibling. The ski slopes are intended exclusively for regular skiing. But don't worry: there are numerous beautiful ski touring and freeride routes in the region around Schladming-Dachstein.

In the event of adverse weather conditions, the operation of certain facilities may be restricted or suspended. We recommend checking the current operating hours and facility status online before you arrive.

Yes, there are plenty of free parking spaces right at the valley station. There are also charging stations for electric cars.

Yes, Hauser Kaibling is easily accessible by train and bus. The nearest train stations are in Schladming and Haus im Ennstal. From there, regular bus service takes you directly to the valley station. In winter, a ski bus shuttle is also available from the surrounding towns.

You can purchase tickets directly at the box office, at our on-site ticket machines, or conveniently online through our web shop.

When purchasing multi-day passes and select day passes through the Ski amadé online ticket shop, you have the option to add a cancellation guarantee to your ticket. You can only cancel your ski passes if you’ve booked the cancellation guarantee, which must be requested up to 2 days before the start of the validity period (e.g., if the ticket is valid starting Saturday, the cancellation guarantee can be requested until Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.) without providing a reason. The cancellation guarantee costs €3.00 per day per ski pass.

You can request a cancellation by emailingskiticket@skiamade.comand providing your order number and name.

It is not possible to add the cancellation guarantee after the order has been completed.

Yes, starting with the 2025/26 winter season, children up to age 6 can ski for free. This offer applies to all mountains in the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm) as well as the smaller ski areas SKI Rittisberg, Galsterberg, and Fageralm—including a free visit to the Dachstein Glacier.

There are also attractive family packages available.

Yes, if you purchase ski tickets together for a group of at least 20 people , you'll receive a discounted group rate.

There is no separate discount for students, seniors, or ski instructors.

Yes, people with a disability of 70% or more receive a discount on hourly, daily, and multi-day passes when purchasing a Ski amadé ski pass directly on-site. Please bring your disability ID card with you to receive the discount.

If your documentation specifies that a companion is required, that person will also receive the corresponding discount.

In the summer, these lifts will take you comfortably up to Hauser Kaibling:

• Hauser Kaibling 8-person gondola
• Kaiblinggrat 8-seater chairlift
• Schladminger Tauern Cable Car (in the village of Haus, about a 10–15-minute walk from the gondola)

With the Schladming-Dachstein Card, you’ll enjoy numerous benefits:

• One free round-trip ride per day on a mountain railway of your choice
• Free or discounted admission to over 100 recreational attractions in the region
• Participation in activity programs and bonus benefits at many partner locations

You’ll receive the Schladming-Dachstein Card for free starting with your first night’s stay at any Card partner establishment. It’s valid for the duration of your stay, including from 1:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and all day on the day of departure.

Yes, bicycles can only be transported on the Hauser Kaibling via the 8-person gondola. Bicycles cannot be transported on the Kaiblinggrat 8-person chairlift or the Tauern cable car in the town of Haus. 

Even in the summer, you can look forward to rustic huts and authentic Styrian cuisine at Hauser Kaibling:

• Berggasthof Scharfetter —right next to the Tauern Cable Car’s mountain station, serving regional delicacies like Kasnockerl or Kaiserschmarrn.
• Krummholzhütte —in a stunning panoramic setting, known for specialties like Ennstaler bread soup or lamb dishes made with Hauser Kaibling mountain lamb.
• Schutzhaus Kaiblingalm – cozily situated at just under 1,800 m, ideal for families and hikers with a sun terrace.
• TOMiziel – modern mountain hut charm with a 360° panoramic bar and a perfect view.

In total, over 90 alpine pastures and huts await you in the Schladming-Dachstein region—each with its own unique atmosphere and regional specialties.

You can buy balls for the ball tracks at vending machines right at the start of the trail and at the Kaiblingalm shelter for 2 euros.

Tip: If you don’t happen to have a 2-euro coin for the machine, you can easily get change at the ticket counter at the valley station of the 8-person gondola, at the SCHAFwerkstatt, or at the Kaiblingalm mountain hut.

Yes, there are family-friendly trails and recreational activities at Hauser Kaibling. For example, the Children’s Adventure Trail is stroller-friendly and features play stations.
