Our strategy

for a future worth living

At Hauser Kaibling we bear responsibility for nature, people and the region. That is why we have a clear sustainability strategy that has an impact beyond the day-to-day. We rely on modern, resource-conserving technologies, promote environmentally conscious tourism and work closely with the region. Our aim is not only to make the magic of the mountain tangible today, but also to preserve it for future generations - for a future worth living in, in which nature and experience are in harmony.

Alpine lamb project

our heart project:

Sustainability at Hauser Kaibling means not only modern technology and clean energy, but also the preservation of traditional forms of landscape conservation. One project that is particularly close to our hearts is our Alpine lamb project.

Every summer, over 800 sheep graze on our alpine pastures and piste areas, taking on work that would otherwise have to be done by machines. This natural care conserves resources, reduces the use of heavy vehicles and at the same time strengthens biodiversity on the mountain.

However, the animals are more than just landscape caretakers: they contribute to the preservation of the Alpine cultural landscape and represent a close connection between humans, animals and nature. The cooperation with regional shepherds also preserves valuable knowledge and craftsmanship - a benefit for the environment, economy and regional identity.

In this way, the Alpine lamb project combines ecological responsibility with living tradition in a unique way - and shows how sustainability is implemented with heart and hand at Hauser Kaibling.

Sustainable slope maintenance

Autumnal splendor through sheep grazing

On the Hauser Kaibling, over 800 sheep tend to the alpine pastures and slopes every year - a natural approach that replaces machinery, saves energy and preserves biodiversity. "The flock of sheep is a symbol of sustainable tourism and shows how humans and animals can work in harmony," says Herbert Landl, former slope manager.

Future-oriented snow guns

Less energy consumption, more environmental awareness

Hauser Kaibling is replacing 45 snow guns with state-of-the-art, energy-efficient TT9 models from TechnoAlpin. This reduces energy consumption by 10-15% and optimizes materials and safety.

"We act sustainably in both summer and winter - from sheep grazing to energy-efficient technology," emphasizes Managing Director Klaus Hofstätter.
