Families can be happy - small children up to 6 years ski for free

Family friendliness is a top priority in the 4-mountain ski area Schladming is a top priority: From the 2025/26 winter season, all children up to the age of six can ski for free. The offer is valid on all mountains in the Schladming 4-mountain ski area (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm) as well as for the small ski areas SKI Rittisberg, Galsterberg and Fageralm - including a free visit to the Dachstein Glacier. Families can thus not only save money, but also enjoy the wide range of over 163 kilometers of slopes, modern lifts and special children's areas on all ski mountains in the region to the full. This makes it easier, cheaper and even more attractive for families to get into skiing.

"The Schladming 4-mountain ski area is already a magnet for guests from Austria and abroad. With the free ski ticket for small children, we are sending out a strong signal that will provide additional relief for families and strengthen the future of winter sports in the long term," says Klaus Hofstätter, Managing Director of Hauser Kaibling.

Dir. Georg Bliem, Managing Director of Planai-Hochwurzen-Bahnen, emphasizes: "With this innovation, we want to make things noticeably easier for families and make it as easy as possible for them to get into winter sports. It is particularly pleasing that this offer applies not only to the four large ski mountains, but also to the Galsterberg, which belongs to our company."

"The family ski day is a special experience for many, and we are delighted that the little ones are now included free of charge. This is a clear commitment to even more family friendliness in the 4-mountain ski area - and of course also applies to our small ski area Fageralm. This means a noticeable relief for local children and families in particular. At the same time, we want to specifically promote the next generation of skiers locally and make it easier for young talents to get into winter sports," explains Daniel Berchthaller, Managing Director of Reiteralm Bergbahnen.
