From the starting point at the valley terminal of Planai cable-car you follow the yellow signs "Tauernblickrunde" at Hotel Barbara. Through "Augasse" road you reach congress Schladming. Passing through between hotels Royer and Falkensteiner you reach the "Rechte Ennsau" road at the river bank. Here you make a left, and at the bridge you cross the street and keep following the river bank. At Ramsauer Brücke bridge you cross over the river and follow trail on the other bank (next to "BILLA" supermarket).

At Bahnhofbrücke bridge (next to the fire station of Schladming) you keep on walking straight on along the river bank until you reach the railroad underpass near the station. Take the underpass and then walk uphill to Hochstraße road. Here you make a left and follow the road to Huberhof and then downhill to the federal highway B320. Via an underpass you reach the other side where you also cross the river Enns via bridge. Along the right river bank you make your way back to Schladming. Passing by the tennis courts you reach the valley terminal of Planai-West cable car. Follow the street towards the hospital and next to the hospital take the pedestrian bridge over the river Enns. Here follow the trail to the right on the known way back to your starting point.

From federal highway B320 take exit "Schladming-Ost". Continue to the roundabout (Spar/Salewa Mountain Shop) and take the 3rd exit towards "Zentrum" (town center). At the following roundabout again take the 3rd exit, which will take you directly to the valley terminal of Planai cable-car at Planai stadium.Parking is available at the valley terminal of Planai cable-car.

In the town of Schladming you can take the Citybus. From Rohrmoos take the Planai buses to Planet Planai, from Ramsau take the buses of Ramsauer Verkehrsbetriebe.

The route is maintained in all conscience. However, icy spots are possible. Good winter shoes, warm clothing, tuque, and gloves. You might also want to carry a small backbag with a warm drink in a thermos jug.
