Preintalerhütte

The Preintalerhütte is a mountain hut, a wonderful day trip destination for enthusiastic hikers, who pass the longest waterfall in Styria and over the alpine path, the "Höll", to the idyllic Riesachsee ascent. From there the wide path leads level along to the Kotalm, from where a narrower path leads slightly uphill to the hut.

The Preintalerhütte also offers 120 sleeping places in rooms and camps and is therefore a perfect "base camp" for multi-day hikes, because with light luggage the Klafferkessel, the royal stage in the Schladminger Tauern, and numerous peaks such as the Hochwildstelle or the Waldhorn can be easily hiked. Furthermore, the refuge is a stage destination of the Schladminger-Tauern High Trail, is on the route "from the glacier to wine" and on the 02 long-distance hiking trail.

The Höflehner family is there all day to cater for your physical well-being with home-made regional specialities. On the large panoramic terrace with its impressive panorama you can relax wonderfully.
