Hiking bus Riesachfall
Tour description
It is particularly beautiful in the Untertal - Riesachfall - in the hiking area - WILDE WASSER. In the summer months of May untill November, the hiking bus runs several times a day - including the "Gelenksbus" from Planet Planai via the Talstation Gipfelbahn Hochwurzen - Untertal Dorf to Riesachfall.
The car may be parked at the parking lot Planet Planai and with the Schladming-Dachstein Sommercard this bus ride is free of charge. (A parking fee will be charged at the parking lot directly for cars parked there.)
Enjoy the ride with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and arrive relaxed at the Riesachfall - your starting point for numerous hikes.
Arrived in the Untertal/Riesachfall, numerous hiking opportunities open up here. A small round to the waterfall invites you to take a walk and while you wait for the return trip, you can indulge in culinary delights directly on site.
The best way is the hike through the "Höll" to the Riesachsee. Five minutes after the start you reach the first viewpoint and are greeted by a proper "drizzle". Afterwards you not only hike over the bridge at the approximately 70 m high Riesach waterfall, but also several viewing platforms provide impressive views and views along the "Höll" gorge. The absolute highlight, however, is the 45-meter-long suspension bridge at a breathtaking height. After mastering the alpine trail, the romantic Gfölleralm presents itself with the deep green Riesachsee behind it. The extensive alpine landscape leads you to the ascent to the Preintalerhütte.
