Backstreet's back in Schladming
After six years, the most successful boy band of all time returns to Austria on December 05, 06 & 07. Together with thousands of fans and a rousing stage show, they will open the 2025/26 winter season in the Planai Stadium. The Backstreet Boys will join a series of international superstars performing in Schladming: After the brilliant shows with Robbie Williams in 2023 and the huge success with Bryan Adams, Simply Red and Sting last year, it is now time to celebrate the era of boy bands.

The individual tickets for the Ski-Opening 2025 are already sold out - but some VIP tickets are still available. Through the Schladming-Dachstein Tourist Office, you can also secure attractive packages that include three nights in one of the partner accommodations, a 2-day Ski amadé ski pass for December 6 and 7 as well as a concert ticket (standing room) for the Ski Opening 2025. The Grand Festival
Three days, three world stars and over 26,500 visitors from 30 countries - the Ski Opening 2024 was a complete success:
- Bryan Adams opened the three-day festival on Friday in front of 10,000 enthusiastic fans with classics such as "Summer of 69" and "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)".
- On Saturday, Sting took over the stage and enchanted 9,500 guests with hits such as "Every Breath You Take" and "Roxanne".
- The emotional finale was provided by Simply Red on Sunday: 7,000 visitors experienced a rousing show with unforgettable songs such as "If You Don't Know Me By Now".
With over 26,500 guests from 30 countries and an extended length of stay, the event generated important momentum for the region. Perfect piste conditions and fresh snow rounded off the weekend - an unforgettable start to the winter season.

From Vienna, the train to Schladming runs every 2 hours with a change in Leoben in just under 4 hours. There are direct EC/IC trains from Graz or Salzburg to Schladming every 2 hours.
