Hauser Kaibling: Skiing in the 4 Mountain Ski Area and Schladming-Dachstein Region
Hauser Kaibling ski area is an ideal entry point into the Schladming-Dachstein ski region and is part of the Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Circuit, connecting Styria’s four major ski mountains: Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm. With over 123 kilometers of slopes for all skill levels, the ski area provides excellent conditions for both skiers and snowboarders. Beautifully groomed slopes, powder snow, and a breathtaking winter landscape ensure skiing pleasure at the highest level.
For beginners, the 24,000 m² "Wollis Kids Park" in the valley serves as a practice area, while advanced winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy the 1,460-meter-long XXL Funslope at Kaiblingalm. For relaxation, the 360-degree panoramic loungers at the "Genussinsel" offer a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.
With a capacity of 3,600 people per hour, an average main motor output of 704 kW, and a travel speed of 6 meters per second, the Kaiblinggrat 8-seater chairlift proudly holds the title of “Styria’s most powerful chairlift.” The new chairlift, built by Leitner, features 68 top-of-the-line LEITNER EVO Premium 8-seater chairs with weather hoods, heated seats, and individual footrests. The journey between stations takes just 4.5 minutes. For an environmentally friendly and quiet operation, it uses Leitner’s innovative "DirectDrive" system. An exciting new feature is the comfortable boarding via conveyor belt with an adjustable platform, allowing children under 1.25 meters to be lifted by 15 centimeters for easier and safer seating.
With its mountain station at the Sender Plateau, the Kaiblinggrat lift is the main connecting lift. From there, you can take the summit lift to the Hauser Kaibling peak (the highest point in the 4-Mountain Circuit at 2,015 meters), reach the natural jewel Kaiblingalm, or access the ski circuit connection to Planai, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm.
At the top, the new mountain station, designed by Italian design firm Pininfarina and built by Leitner, features a significantly wider roof for real passenger comfort. Added amenities include restroom facilities and a modern guidance system to provide winter sports enthusiasts with all relevant information at a glance.
