Moreover, Ski amadé has lots of enticing benefits in store for winter sports addicts and skiing aficionados including fun parks, halfpipes, freeride zones and timed sections, state-of-the-art lifts and snow-making systems, cosy ski lodges and parasol bars, a perfect choice of accommodation and après-ski outlets, spas and hot springs, child-friendly ski schools and ski kindergartens, convenient access by car and attractive special deal weeks with all-inclusive offers.

Ski amadé means guaranteed snow throughout the entire winter season.

That means there’s always snow on the pistes, even in relatively snowless winters. Over 4,000 snow-making machines across the entire Ski amadé network ensure that 100% of the ski runs can be covered by artificial snow.

Our snow-making machines play a vital part in enabling our guests to ski down to the valley on an average of 135 days a year from November through to April. The Schladming-Dachstein region, including Hauser-Kaibling, plays a pioneering role within Ski amadé. Here 100% of all the ski runs can be covered by artificial snow.

But of course, our snow-making machines alone are not equal to the task of offering our guests perfectly groomed pistes and unlimited ski pleasure. That job also requires the efforts of our 1,450 staff (of whom about 550 are employed all year round), who go out night after night with their 120 piste maintenance machines across the entire Ski amadé region.

Winter sports events

No other Alpine region has as many winter sports events as Ski amadé. In addition to the many winter season openings. The night time slalom in Schladming, the snowboarding World Cup in Gastein, and the women’s Alpine World Cup in Zauchensee and on Hauser Kaibling are among the regular fixtures in Ski amadé. And you can already start looking forward to a major top class event: Schladming is to be the venue of the alpine ski World Championships in 2013!

Ski amadé means pure skiing bliss for the whole family.

Here you’ll find the perfect choice of slopes, with many wide, flat ski runs, complemented by the excellent facilities which turn a skiing holiday into a unique experience. Children are well catered for across the Ski amadé region with special children’s practice lifts. The many benefits of the Ski amadé region make for a family holiday that is unforgettable, yet affordable.
