Schladming, is set on the historic mountain town on the Enns, which is a central place in the region Schladming-Dachstein nestled between the jagged limestone mountains of the Dachstein Massif and the bedrock of the Schladming Tauern.
The town, with around 5000 inhabitants offers a lot of sport activities. The world famous ski resort is familiar from countless major events, such as the Alpine World Ski Championships on the Special Olympics World Winter Games to countless World Cup ski races. With the Planai the city is at the heart of Austria's biggest ski alliance, the "Ski amadé".
