New 6-seater chairlift at Kaiblingalm
The Hauser Kaibling ski area starts into the coming winter season with its largest-ever investment!
Even though there is no skiing activity on the Hauser Kaibling during summer months, preparations are running at full speed. The entire Hauser Kaibling team is actively getting ready for the coming winter season. This summer season is particularly busy, considering the investment sum amounting to 10 million Euro, that is Hauser Kaibling’s largest-ever investment in one season.

“This new chairlift in the Kaiblingalm area sets another milestone in
the upgrading of our ski resort”, says Hauser Kaibling managing director
Arthur Moser.
No matter the weather - whether in the rain, wind or sunshine - works are proceeding in the so-called Kaiblingalm. At an altitude of almost 1800 metres, a new snowmaking facility is being built, with which it will be possible to provide machine snow for 100 % of Hauser Kaibling's ski runs from autumn on. For 2,5 million Euro, a water storage reservoir, holding 40.000 cubic metres, was implemented, as well as new water pipelines and a pump station, and pistes were enlarged by five hectares. “Winter sport enthusiasts will solely experience the fantastic snow”, explains managing director Arthur Moser. “The whole system mainly lies in the slope. Thus the impressive backdrop with view to the Dachstein Mountains remains unclouded.”
Styria’s only new chairlift of this season is being put up on the Hauser Kaibling. In the Kaiblingalm area, where Hauser Kaibling and Planai - Styria’s largest ski areas – link up, a modern 6-seater chairlift is being built. It features orange weather protection hoods, leather cushions and heated seats. “Constructing agreements have been negotiated in August. Now, new standards can be set in the Hauser Kaibling ski area,” says Moser. The chairlift will entirely replace the “Almlift” (drag lift). The new Doppelmayer chairlift leads from a level of about 1600 m up to an altitude of 1950 m.
